Make a Balance

These artifacts are representative of the steps involved in making a balance for a marine chronometer. All the parts are approximately the same size except for the final two which are smaller and probably would not have resulted from further work on the other parts.

I purchased this collection in a large amount of material from a former chronometer manufacturer in Connecticut. Unfortunately I sold the drawings and other documentation and no longer recall the name of the maker.
