This example dates from 1935 as can be seen in the certificate. Waltham 8 day watches are quite common and were used in a wide variety of clocks from automobile to small bedroom clocks. Many were made up as travel clocks in the common folding travel clock case. Most of these have no wind indicator, some have a red spot wind indicator. Only the 15 jewel examples marked, "adjusted" with the full numeric winding indicator are considered true deck watch candidates by most collectors. There are examples without any indicator that are cased as comparing watches similar to the Hamilton 36 size and Model 22 without gimbals. These were made up by the Roth Brothers in New York during WWII.
